Hi, I’m Grace Thompson, and I’m thrilled to welcome you into my kitchen here at CooklyUp. I grew up in Washington State, surrounded by evergreen forests, farmers’ markets, and a family that believed every good story started at the dinner table. From an early age, I learned that food wasn’t just about filling plates, it was about filling hearts, too

Life, of course, got busy. I became a mom, juggled work, family, and everything in between, and suddenly, the long recipes I loved as a teenager didn’t fit into my day anymore. That’s when I began experimenting with shortcuts, one-pot wonders, and quick dinners that didn’t sacrifice taste. Some nights were a little chaotic (I still laugh about the time I confused powdered sugar with flour in my cookies!), but through trial and error, I built a collection of recipes that are as realistic as they are delicious.

I believe cooking at home should feel doable, even joyful, no matter how full your calendar is. That’s what CooklyUp is all about: recipes that give you comfort without complication. Here you’ll find easy weeknight dinners, healthy everyday meals, seasonal favorites, and plenty of desserts—because life is too short not to enjoy something sweet.

Cooking has always been my way of connecting with my family, with friends, and now with you. My hope is that when you stop by CooklyUp, you’ll feel like you’re sitting at my kitchen counter, chatting while a casserole bakes in the oven or cookies cool on the rack. Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics or a food lover hunting for inspiration, I’m here to share what I know, cheer you on, and remind you that cooking doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be shared.
So grab your apron, make yourself at home, and let’s cook something wonderful together.
