A hearty and comforting Amish-inspired hamburger steak bake.
Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup cooked egg noodles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off any grease.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, water, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cooked egg noodles.
- Pour mixture into a baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of chicken or celery soup for cream of mushroom.
- Add a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
- Serve with a side of green beans or a salad.
