- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups diced potatoes (about 2 medium)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the diced potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- Cover the skillet with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like peas or carrots if desired.
- For a spicier casserole, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
