Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces pasta
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage in a large pot until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion, garlic, and bell peppers in the pot until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add pasta and cook according to package directions.
  5. Return sausage to the pot and heat through.
  6. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • You can add cooked shrimp or chicken.
  • For a thicker sauce, simmer longer.
