Ingredients

- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces pasta
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook sausage in a large pot until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion, garlic, and bell peppers in the pot until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Add pasta and cook according to package directions.
- Return sausage to the pot and heat through.
- Serve with Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
- You can add cooked shrimp or chicken.
- For a thicker sauce, simmer longer.
