Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then add pasta.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until pasta is cooked through (about 15-20 minutes).
  6. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. Serve hot.
