- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup uncooked pasta
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then add pasta.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until pasta is cooked through (about 15-20 minutes).
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables, like bell peppers or carrots.
- Adjust the spices to your taste.
- Top with cheese or sour cream, if desired.
