- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in the beaten eggs, evaporated milk, and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
- Ensure your sweet potatoes are fully cooked and mashed for a smooth filling.
