Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Rinse turkey and pat dry.
  3. Season turkey with salt and pepper.
  4. Place onion, carrots, and celery in a roasting pan.
  5. Pour in chicken broth.
  6. Place turkey on top of vegetables.
  7. Spread butter over turkey.
  8. Roast for 3-4 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.
  9. Let rest for 15 minutes before carving and serving.
