Ingredients

- 1 (10-12 pound) turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Rinse turkey and pat dry.
- Rub turkey with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place onion, carrots, celery, and garlic in roasting pan.
- Place turkey on top of vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Roast for 3-4 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 15 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Baste the turkey with pan juices during cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on turkey size.
