  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  5. Combine pasta and meat sauce.
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cool completely and store in the refrigerator.
  8. Reheat portions as needed.
