Description
A delicious make-ahead dinner perfect for meal prepping. It reheats wonderfully.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound pasta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Combine cooked pasta and meat sauce.
- Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Cool completely before storing.
- To reheat, bake covered at 350°F (175°C) for 20-30 minutes, or until heated through.
Notes
- This dish can be made up to 3 days in advance.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- You can freeze this dish for longer storage.
