  • 1 package (15 sheets) frozen phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, rind removed, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (canned or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease mini muffin tins.
  2. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface. Brush generously with melted butter. Top with another sheet of phyllo and brush with butter. Repeat with a third sheet.
  3. Cut the layered phyllo sheets into 3-inch squares.
  4. Gently press one phyllo square into each cup of the mini muffin tin, creating a small pocket.
  5. Place a piece of brie cheese into each phyllo cup.
  6. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce over the brie in each cup.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the phyllo is golden brown and crispy, and the brie is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and chopped nuts, if desired. Serve warm.
