This is a simple recipe for Salisbury steak. It’s an easy and delicious ground beef meal.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet.
- Brown patties. Set aside.
- Add onion and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Whisk flour into the skillet. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Return patties to the skillet.
- Simmer until patties are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
- Add garlic for extra flavor.
- Adjust seasonings to your taste.
